Recognise these signs in Stourbridge area ?

A load of these signs have gone up on the road from Stourbridge to Kingswinford.

There's no clue on them as to where they came from but I think they're pretty good visually and get the point across well. Anybody know who put them up ? I'd really like some for another part of my commute that's really bad for close passes.

it's no good putting up signs if people won't read them..... but it is a start

That's the thing though. Since they've gone up around Christmas Im sure things have improved. It's a really busy road with loads of pedestrian islands so was quite bad at times.

Woking has put up a load of "Be Bicycle Aware" signs. Seem like a nice idea, no idea if it makes any difference.

The visual style and font of the sign looks a bit american to me. We have lots of 'think bike' signs of various types on the roads round here, especially the ones up into the pennines, but they're about motorbikes.

I get hooted for just being on the road so I was thinking of getting a cycling top printed with "hoot if you are insane" on the back. At the moment I just wave back in a friendly Coooeeey sort of way. Is there a design your own cycling top or hi viz waistcoat service somewhere?

Council will probably take it down based on fly-posting after some motorist complaint, yet still leave up all the 101 posters advertising this and that and whatnot.

I think that's a good idea, we need cycle lanes round Stourbridge! The roads are wide enough and it would stop people keep driving in the gutter crawling at 5 miles an hour! That drives me crazy!!!!!!!!!

doe not comply with current legislation. it could in fact be used as a defence by a motorist who injured a cyclist.

the law and its technicalities is amazing, the only thing more amazing is the legal proffessions ability to find these technicalities.

you should have "honk if your a c*nt". Insane might not fit.
