After a lot of searching i`ve managed to get a Madison Tempest Softshell for £86 reduced from £114.99. It came today and i`ve worn for a 2 hour walk across the moors half of which was in the rain , kept me dry and warm with just a Merino short sleeved base layer underneath. I didn`t want to spend too much but this jacket was well worth it , good fit , looks and feels very well made. Downside is it is just too nice for wearing on my mtb and getting covered in crap , so will keep it for general wear and cold, crisp dry days on the bike. I bought this after a lot of good reviews online, I was very lucky in tracking one down as sadly they`re not made anymore.
