Hi
I am after a cheap-ish helmet camera, waterproof (or at least rain proof).
Budget max £100 all in.
1080p30
As light as possible.

www.techmoan.com is an excellent resource, but he concentrates on car/motorcycle usage. The problem is that a mount suitable for a M/C helmet may not be suited to a bicycle helmet.

My shortlist is either the SJ1000 or SJ4000, leaning towards SJ4000.
Also the Mobius camera with the JooVuu waterproof case, but it's not clear how that would mount to a bicycle helmet.

Does anyone have any of these?

I'd prefer a bullet / barrel style camera as they are lighter and less noticeable, but I don't think there is anything decent and waterproof for my budget?

Thanks
Mark

What run time do you need? I have the Mobius the internal battery is not long enough for a 20 mile ride (unless you are Wiggo)

Dogcam do the same camera with two seperate packages.
Police Witness included, at over £100 or the camera on its own at @£60.

No Wiggo here, unfortunately.
I guess one hour runtime would be OK for my commute, but longer better obviously.
Do you have the waterproof case? How do you mount it?

I don't have the waterproof case, I mount it on the helmet mount you can buy on eBay.
You should get one hour out of the battery in good conditions, you can power it externally also with a USB power pack that does 5V 1A but that adds hassle.
I don't have the waterproof case, just the camera and the helmet mount, the mount case has the standard camera attachment screw hole.

If I've found the right page, it was only a 720p camera, was £79 for camera alone (or £139 for the police witness edition), and is out of stock. Actually, I suspect it's not available any more.
