Recommend me a video editor that won't cost me anything please?

As the title says, I'm after a basic editor.

Nothing fancy required, I don't want to do any special effects, all I'd like to do is take a short clip out of a longer file, say 30 secs of a 2 min video and save it as a new file, what's available to me?

I use both and they're free and easy to use.

I also use Windows 10 movie maker. i found this YouTube tutorial useful when i first tried it.

I found the Virb editor too demanding for my old laptop. WMM would be my choice for a simple editor.

I have just got a new laptop with Win 10 on it. I think I will have a play with Win 10 Movie Maker too!
