I got a cheapo DVD player with a had disc store thingy in it. It was really tricky to set up and work and it only lasted a month (long enough for me to fill it with my holiday tv programs and then stopped working.
I then paid twice as much and got a Panasonic one. Really easy to use- do not think I even had to look at the instructions. Record a whole series in about three button presses and it even sorts them out to be filed in a little group of their own. Also pleased with my Panasonic TV too. Well worth the extra.
