MrsR is a talented (IMO) amateur singer. She’s recorded a few songs over the years and ‘nearly’ got a recording contract with a big label some years ago.

Anyway, she’s currently in the process of recording 2 or 3 songs with some friends - for pleasure, she has no aspirations to become a famous singer. The recording’s being done partly at home and partly at a proper studio. So far I reckon she’s spent 20+ hours on the project (including the guitars etc).

As an old punk I keep reminding her that Crass recorded a double album in 2 days:okay:

Studio recording takes a while to get the sound 'right', if you just wanna bang summat out it's easy but to get the right sound takes a while. These are a couple of Leicester girls (Sisters) in I think Neil 'Tiny' Segrotts (he's a big bloke) studio,

(it may however be at Chris Conways's though)

There are so many great singers / musicians around. It’s a fine line as to who ‘makes it’.

Mary Anne and Laura were on X-Factor but they withdrew when they found out all the contractual implications of appearing (they would never hold the 'rights' to their own music) and are now doing everything with their own money to maintain 'artistic freedom'. Their CD 'Fall Awake' is entirely self funded, will they make it without that publicity machine.

The video is obviously someone pointing a phone/camera at a television,

Tell me about it, Jackie Leven never 'made it' despite immense talent and years of favourable reviews. A bit like these, Dan and Chris are both very talented but will probably never be famous although they both make a living at it.

I love Chris' comment when he ask "What key is this in"............... "C#Minor" Replies Dan "It's not gonna be in C#Minor on my Keyboard "
