Myself and Auntie Helen have been on a couple of YACF rides which had a chap (Tim Hall & his missus), riding one. Will look for a piccy..

Saw my first tandem recumbent & upright mix last week.

There was an article about a couple with one in the ctc magazine the other month. The wife couldn't walk far or ride upright, so they got one of these and go touring round europe on it.

I sometimes find the trike a bit wide to sneak up the inside of big trucks at junctions, but being so low it's easy to just nip underneath artic trailers to the outside lane.

Some inconsiderate drivers have started fitting bars underneath the trailers that make this maneouvre more difficult.

Have you tried slipstreaming under a lorry?

Excellent shelter from the rain as well.

Saw one in Coldstream a couple of weeks ago:-

When I bought my first recumbent (a "few" years ago) Coldstream was the centre of the Recumbent world!

Neatwork was the importer of the Peer Gynt, Dino, Linear, Kincycle and Ryan recumbents. APart from these there were Peter Ross in Cornwall and Mike Burrows in Norwich.

That was the entire choice!

one may have recently moved, as i've seen him a cople of times on my route now, older guy with beard.

yeah I see him from time to time around the Waterloo area, also spotted him at Streatham Hill.

How do you know they are poor?

They could be quite rich... unless they blew all the money on the bike - in which case you could be right
