Not sure on numbers yet as they haven't published it anywhere,I was a bit worried when I arrived as nobody else had turned up yet (I was a bit too early I think). I left for the long route at about 7:45 with about 10 others.

I wouldn't pay £25 to ride that route, there are lots of more interesting roads to use in the area.

The Shropshire clubs' Reliability series does very similar rides open to all riders on Sundays from late January through to mid-March, plus one in May, for £3 (yes, three pounds).

We have to provide food, mark and demark the routes, provide medical cover, insurance. All that could not be done for £3 a rider. A reliability ride is not the same as a sportive. Both cycling but with a reliability ride you are not so looked after.
