Go with the Decathlon one, they generally know how to set one up properly and it has decent components.

The wheels would be the first to change but only after you had wore through the rims.

The Argos bike is a cracking bike at the price. Decathlon cannot be faulted for their value.
The Decathlon bike is probably the better Sportive bike. The Shimano 105 groupset is better than the Shimano Sora, and the finishing is probably better on the Decathlon.

I'd be tempted to buy the Argos bike as a second road bike, but the Decathlon would be a better main commuting and Sportive one.

Of those 2 id gravitate towards the Decthlon, but for 750 sheets there are a raft of superb relaxed geometry roadies out there from the likes of Giant, Pinnacle, Spesh, and a host of others. You could easily create a far more inviting shortlist, and when you have go try them and buy the one that suits you best.

Yes I bought a Ventura, see this thread https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/ventura-cp-50-argos.162736/
I've no complaints with mine but the choice is yours!
I bought the bike when the price was even lower so was a bit more clear cut on the decision, as others have said there's some nice bikes about for similar money - that Planet X rt 58 for one that @vickster bought, sadly now back up to £800.
If you do buy the Ventura you will need to put it together yourself (not difficult) or get a LBS to do it for you.
I did a 100 mile sportive on my bike before I made any "modifications" so it's well up to the task from stock, some people moan about the saddle but I got on with it ok.
I'm now doing my local clubs TT season and I've changed a few bits and pieces!

Thank a lot guys. I think i will do more research on the other brands. I quite like decathlon one but not sure about the gemoetr. I will visit decathlon and try it . I am quite tight on the budget but if really worth it to go with decathlon i might stretch it. The ventura weihht is 8,8 kg which is cracking price.

Don't believe everything you read about stated weights, my ventura is now 9.2 kg with a lighter wheelset than stock, including pedals and TT bars.
