Replacement bottom bracket for old road bike

All,
I am trying to repair my son's road bike that he uses for commuting.

The last time I had to do a repair, I was planning to replace the cup-and-cone BB bearings with
something like an UN300 unit. However, I could not do this as I was unable to remove the fixed
cup; I got it 1/2 way out but it was twisted so I screwed it back in and replaced the caged bearings.

Anyway, this time I did get it out but the threads on the frame are badly damaged. I though this
might be game-over for the frame until I discovered threadless bottom brackets.

They seem to come in a variety of sizes. I am 99% sure the width of the frame part is 68m
but my concern is the spindle length as it seems to fall between 2 values shown in the advert.
(I measured it at 125 mm - see pics below)

options are: 110, 113, 116, 119, 122.5, 127.5

Here is a picture of the spindle. Which one do you think I should get?

Just to add. I think the original chainset was a triple but it currently has a double. Are any of
the sizes listed above compatible with both? The original bike is a 2010 Vitesse Sprint but it has
been heavily customised and about the only remaining part is the frame.

If it originally had a triple you might find the 122.5 to be the best option. That's because the original triple spindle would be longer for the inner ring to clear the chain stay. Now you're running a double so ideally should be shorter.
Check chain line with a straight edge. 119 may also work.

well you needed to check with clearance with the crankset you are going to be using on the existing BB to see whether 125mm that got it bang on a central chain-line or a bit one side or t'other. But too late for that now! different chainset designs can require different lengths of BB's which is why they come in different lengths!

most cranksets should be tolerant to a few mm either way. so pick a size and go for it.

Scenarios like this might be more cost effective to let the LBS supply and fit. I was in a similar situation once, not knowing the correct length to get. Then another snag cropped up, so took it to the LBS. They had all the correct tools, fitted the correct size BB and was all working when I collected it.
