Or any similarly styled helmet really.

I actually took the visor off as it affected visibility on a road bike. Still liked the shape though but it's kaput unfortunately.

Peak or no peak they still make you look like The Mekon.
I'd rather look like a sexy Mekon.

Got a few to choose from but FWIW the Bell Tracker seems to be pretty much the same as the Slant, if not identical, only comes in black though whereas I was looking for a blue or white one, not sure why so many cycling things are only available in dark colours. edit - it does come in other colours.

Incidentally, the one above did it's job perfectly as I landed on my back and my head whipped onto the tarmac and I heard the helmet crack but I had literally no pain or even hint of an impact on the back of my head. I used to not wear a helmet in my 20s and early 30s but was bought one by my employer and my wife asked me to keep wearing it on all rides.

If I'd been in my 20s nowadays I probably would have been wearing one anyway, as I'd have grown up wearing one, rarely see a rider without one these days.

You mean you can’t be seen if the visor is on, a bit like an invisibility cloak?

Planet x have a load of lids - some nice road ones too for not much. I've got three PX lids and they are fine. I also have used top of the range Bell Road helmets in the past, much difference, possibly, but not in excess of £130 difference.

I did, from Blacks  - £17 plus delivery - it fits, is comfortable, and judging by the last Bell helmet it should do its job just as well.
