Replacing a zip

Does anyone tried getting a zip repaired on a Brompton pannier? Are there people who do this? How much do they cost?

Do Brompton panniers now have zips? My touring pannier doesn't. It must be a sign that Brompton are cutting costs as well. I would have thought any decent bag luggage shop would be able to replace the zip.

Anyone who does shoe repairs should be able to do this. At least in my area, there are still a few cobblers shops around.

which pannier? anyone who can sew should be able to fix it, I reckon, unless it's a fancy waterproof one...
