I am going to be staying a few hundred metres away from Richmond station at Quinn's next month. (Yes I've heard its poor but it's a place to doss while on business)

Can anyone recommend any budget/cheap but nice restaurants I can go to for tea and what I can see and do after 5pm which is near by. I.e within walking distance. I am there for just over a week.

Oh and the best way to get from kings to Richmond would be good. I am thinking Kings to Euston and then pick up the northern line to Waterloo and jump on the south west train at Waterloo. I will have a suitcase so a Boris bike is out the question and I'll be arriving post 8:30pm

there is a wagamama in richmond. i went to a nice thai place near the bottom of the hill (just after the cinema there is a road that goea left up the hill, there are a few shops and cafes there... one is/was a thai place in the evening and very good and cheap).

otherwise... dunno. lots of pubs near the river.

things to do after 5 - dunno, but if you are free during the day you have the park, the river, kew gardens and the london wetland centre at barnes all close by.

it's not a cheap area, so be prepared.

i've no idea where kings is, but if it is near euston, then your travel plan is a good one. beware, south west trains are crap.

Sorry, by kings I mean Kings Cross/St Pancreas.

I am going to be in Hammersmith most of the time during the day so I just wondered if there was anything I could do on a night to alleviate the boredom of ones own company really.
