Reston Waste = Pathetic

I had a close call with a reston waste vehicle a few weeks ago, i sent a polite e-mail to them via there standard e-mail address on their website.

But it seams a few of their emploees may have taken it in there own hands to reply to my video and make other videos displaying how good they are.

The incident in question is this:

The notable users replying are DJBailout and MrBonneyBones

The later joined and shortly posted on my video, hasn't responded since or had any other activity.

The first, has responded twice and made a video at how Reston Waste drivers use there mirros and signal.. which can be found here:

This video clearly shows that he is driving the lorry with a cracked windscreen, what a fool.

This is giving me some good laughs!

.. and also appears to be filming whilst driving... surely a sign of driving without due care? Also, why is he way over the central line of the road when turning right... he should either be in the other lane (if it's the designated lane for turning) or at the central line rather than straddling it.

Clearly a muppet.

Perhaps technically it's a couple of their employees being crap, rather than the company? I'd be tempted to follow up the email (I assume?) with a recorded delivery letter to the company director pointing out the non-official response, Origamist's FORS question, and mention the behaviour and filming of their employees?

I just have a feeling that the email enquiry got passed around for laughs, and didn't get dealt with as the boss might have wanted it to be.

Or if the Boss did read it and aided the result they obviously have no idea about (the importance of) internet marketing.

Hoping this plug thread of Reston Waste, gets this thread higher up in google for reston waste. so when people search for reston waste this comes before the official reston waste website.

I wouldn't send them a recorded delivery letter re-iterating your complaint. What address are you going to put on it? ........... your own, oh nooooooo! If these people take scant regard of your complaint what might they do if they have your address ................... :eek:. I would resend the email ccing your local neighbourhood ossifer. Obviously it is up to you whether you contact your local neighbourhood police officer.

Best thing is to get your youtube vid to rank higher than the company website when it is googled.

A tip - you could attach a doc which has Reston Waste typed thousands of times in WHITE in size 6 either on the main page or in header and footer or even better everytime you post on a forum add the company's name in white font 100 times next to your link. They might though demand that Youtube removes your footage ;).

LOL, I don't think so. That's how to fall out of the results, fast.


If you don't want them to have your address, then send a normal letter, with no address and just phone/email for them to contact you back.
