I've been so fed up with the wet weather in June that I spent my spare time putting this little beasty together. Not special(ized). An old ally Muddyfox frame that I re-sprayed, rapid rise Shimano XT derailleurs with 21 speed STI shifters, some really nice narrow alloy bars and aero profile wheels. All I bought in were the frame stickers. All the parts came from my 'shed' and made me wonder wether I should perhaps have a clear out. Pleased with the result though, rides really nice. The next wet spell we get, I expect i'll be taking it apart again :cycle:
Dunno why the first pic is in twice, but cant fathom out how to remove it !

Love the colourscheme

Looks like the rear mech is folded up at some crazy angle, is something wrong there, chain too long? or just the picture?

The chain was on the littlest gear front and back, so its all squished up on itself (rapid rise)

Why is one tire fat and one thin? I'm a roadie so this may be some obvious MTB thing I don't get

Nice, but I think you'll want a front mudguard too if you're going to ride it in the wet.

Why sticker it Specialized when it's a Muddy Fox frame?
Just curious like.
Coz they were the stickers I had....... I had previously re-sprayed a Specialized Globe but made such a pigs ear of the job, threw the frame away. These were the stickers I had got for that frame...Waste not-want not

The tyres were miss matched deliberately because I live seconds from the beach, and my grandson loves riding on the surfs edge, I thought this would allow me to keep him company without my weight digging the back wheel into the sand too far, plus I didnt have 2 fat ones :hugs:
