Returning after cycling accident. Need advice on a new bike.

Hi all

Just before Christmas I came of my giant SCR3, I ended up breaking my hip and tearing all sorts of muscles in my leg and knee. Most painful few hrs I have ever experienced After the accident and with the amount of hassle it caused due to to the months off work I never thought I would get back on a bike again. However now that I am fully recovered I really miss the fitness I had achieved + the better lifestyle that comes along with cycling so Im going to get back in the saddle again

I have a limit of £600 for the bike as I have added some funds to my cycle2work voucher. I was originally looking at a Giant Defy 4 but have noticed that chain reaction have a Vitus Razor bike with 10% of. Just wondering what peoples opinions are on these and what would be the best buy?

Can;t comment on the Vitus but I got Defy4 and its pretty good

Hmm. The Vitus has better kit. The Giant 'looks better' It also has a triple - just bear in mind your 'hip'. Both very similar, and I think the choice is yours.

The Giant looks much smarter, plus you will have Giant's warranty !

I think im swaying towards the Giant tbh. I was always really happy with my old bike plus my local shop is a giant dealer so I can pick their brains when I need to. Cheers guys
