Yes indeed. I have a pond absolutely heaving with them. And Ribbitting isn't all they are up to




I don't know whether the wildlife and countryside act allows me to suggest you nip to the local canal, village pond or whatever and nick a bit of spawn when it appears, so if it's illegal, then don't, but Frogs always return to their spawning ground to mate. Don't think so. So called "edible frogs" are also known as European or Green Frogs, and in Germany are known as "Teichfrosch" or "pond Frog". I suspect that's what is making all the racket in the OP's pond, so fill yer boots.!Maz said:Are Common/Garden frogs poisonous? Does anyone know?

Toads are, their skin contains toxins which burn the mouths of would-be predators.( Just thought I'd throw that in!)
