I have some charity places available for RideLondon - Essex 100 if anyone didn't manage to get a place in the ballot.

It's a bit odd not to say what your minimum is. People may waste their time and the charity's.

Large charties have very many salaries to pay for before the money raised goes to the charity itself. The places for LDA for RideLondon - Essex 100 do not have that restriction at all because we are all volunteers.

Could you raise £199 for Lyme Disease Action for a place?

And remember - your fundraising and massive amount of training and effort is totally going to fund LDA compared to other charities

Email for a place - counting down.........

This a list of symptoms for Lyme disease:

https://www.lymediseaseaction.org.uk/about-lyme/symptoms/

Symptoms & Signs A-Z

The most common symptoms in adults are

  • ‘flu like symptoms of aching, fever, headache
  • fatigue
  • sweating
  • joint pain
  • photophobia (light sensitivity)
  • abnormal skin sensations (tingling, numbness, itching)
  • stiff neck
  • erythema migrans rash.

Facial palsy in children with headache and fever has been shown to predict early Lyme neuroborreliosis during peak Lyme season in endemic areas (April – Oct).

Lyme disease is systemic, it can affect the whole body. These symptoms can all have causes other than Lyme disease. Some symptoms such as headache and fatigue are more common whereas others e.g. heart block and blurred vision occur less frequently.

I found a tick attached to... me... on my hand yesterday after being outside for less than an hour trimming plants. I removed it safely using LDA guidelines:

Remove the ticks safely as soon as possible - Reduce the Lyme disease risk!
