Still looking for a road bike circa £500 and my LBS has a Ridgeback Horizon on offer at that price (RRP £619). I know its a tourer but supposedly light (24 lbs) but can there be much difference to any other entry level triple road bike ?
Cannot find any info or reviews on the net.

TIA

It all depends on what you want.
24lb isn't that light for a £600 road bike.

I've no experiance of the Horizon but Ridgeback stuff is normally pretty well made.

Although the bike is called a tourer it doesn't really look much like a sterotypical' touring bike. Carbon fork, relatively thin tyres. More what most manufactures would call a winter bike or a fast audax.
