I tried it once. Fell off. That was many years ago though

I think it might be more the case that it is because we can't!

If all of us could do it, there would not be a lot of point in doing it because it wouldn't be particularly impressive. If you are not going to impress anyone, then you might as well ride the bike forwards, go faster, and enjoy it more!
