Riding from Santander to Malaga

Hi All, looking at routes to cycle from Santander to Malaga via Gijon/ Sevilla (Ruta del plata) in September. Aim to do 40-60 miles a day with a few rest days. Are there any alternative routes that anyone can recommend. Thanks.

You could join a French route at Reinosa, south of Santander. It's the club de cent cols route down the Spanish watershed to Tarifa, Sevilla is reasonably close to the route. National parks and old towns apart from the east of Madrid as its farmland but roads are almost empty.

i did most of that. the N630 down from Valladolid is amazing. Huge empty old main road 500km long
