RIP Lewis Collins

I've just logged on to see the news on Sky, and found out he's died in LA after having cancer for the past five years.

The Professionals was one of my favourites when I was growing up, happy memories.

Me too, I've seen them all at least six or seven times each but I still can't resist when I see one's on.

One of my favourite episodes is the one where one of them (can't remember if it was Bodie or Doyle) had to wrestle a hand grenade out of Pamela stephenson's blouse......

Oh just realised the above comment makes me look like an anorak (or pervert)

Gosh, slightly shocked by that news. Didn't realize he was 67 though. martin Shaw was on telly the other day being a luvvy about his new play, always preferred Bodie myself.

She was a nurse in a siege at a hospital.

After Bodie had ripped her blouse open and fished the grenade out he carefully adjusted it to preserve her modesty, as he did so Doyle commented, "you're lucky love, he doesn't normally do that!"

If I remember rightly he had a doctor's white coat and glasses on as a disguise, and Pamela had a dreamy look on her face as if she was enjoying his bedside manner.

How's that for an anorak?

I saw this on my phone when I went to collect some tickets, I was shocked, cant believe it, always a big fan of Lewis

I heard this on the 1pm news on the radio. I only heard the back half so wasn't sure if he had died or been knighted. It wasn't until the radio show host said "RIP Lewis Collins" that I knew for sure.

I loved the professionals, my Mum loved The Cuckoo Waltz which I saw occasionally. I didn't realise that he was so young though. My Sis had a huge crush on Bodie.

I don't wish him dead but he was a pretty poor actor. Not as bad as Dennis Waterman, I'll grant you.

Used to drink in a bar High Wycombe way in the mid 80s he wasn't a very nice chap as I recall.
