I don't think I've seen one already, even though he's been gone a few days, so I thought I'd start this one off.

The co creator of some of the finest kids TV alongside Oliver Postgate, The Clangers is still my all time favourite.

Between them, they've left an enduring legacy of pure joy for generations to come. I now in late middle age, but the Bagpuss poem still brings a tear to my eye. Not certain if Postgate or Firmin was the author, but jointly they produced so many genuinely magical shows. Bringing joy to millions is not a bad legacy

In this awfully cynical world of ours, their productions were wonderful oases of childhood innocence and joy. RIP .

mind you, both Firmin and Postgate were involved in Nasa's conspiracy to fake the moon landings
Clangers, Noggin The Nog, Pogle's Wood, Ivor the Engine - genius. I was too old for Bagpuss but my little sister was obsessed by it.
Too old for Bagpuss ? I don't understand that at all !
