It all went pear shaped for the Apple man.

No-one survives pancreatic cancer in the long-term; but he put up an amazing fight - he lived for 8 or 9 years after the diagnosis, which is practically unheard of.

He was a giant in the world of technology.

Unfortunately to be truly great you have too dedicate your whole life to it, love what you are doing and not be in it just for the money ................ probably why most of us never will be.


So many people dying young of cancer these days it is very worrying.

I liked the comment that there can be no greater tribute to the man than the fact much of world learned of his passing on a device he invented.

It's a week for deaths... blimey.

Don't own anything by Apple and not likely to either.. but still a shame to hear of his passing as he has introduced some iconic electronics to the world.
