If its the one I'm thinking about it was posted a while ago, I think most people decided he was a prat (I certainly did ;))

The cyclist sounds like a prat. He has been caught and should pay up. He set out to bait the copper. This does not set a good example.

My recollection was the original got removed. Odd that. Is the original channel still there on youtube, because this isn't the video makers's channel..?

I think there's a lot of copies floating around youtube so when the original was removed by Danny an embarrassing copy still remained.

Not only is he a cock, but he was either trying to enter Monty Pythons upper class twit of the year contest, or maybe he was a little inebriated?

i was going to say, my old man would have slapped him in cuffs in a heartbeat. you're not a beat copper in a certain area of salford for neigh on 20 years and take crap from anyone. that cop should have just give him the jewellery and had done with it, he shouldn't have argued back just done him there and then for the offence or for a public order offence. technically his actions are breach of the peace because he's causing a scene.

I think our "Student of the Law" knew full well what the Law was. I'm afraid it was the Policeman who was lacking in knowledge, or more correctly faith in his own knowledge. He was very careful not to refuse to give his name and address, but was clearly asking the Officer to clarify the relevant law that he was going to arrest under if he failed to do so, before deciding whether to or not.

The Policeman blew it big time by trying to grab the camera, shame really because the Policeman was right.
