A friend is planning on riding the route of this year's TDF during five weeks of holibobs next year. He is doing quite a lengthy commute and just done London to Brighton on a hybrid that was given to him.
He is still saving for a road bike to use on his little jaunt and hasn't worked out how he wants to ride it and thus whether he is buying a race bike or an audax machine.
I've suggested that maybe he could hire a road bike and we could get out and do a few rides into the peaks over a long weekend.
Can anyone make recommendations for hiring a road bike in/near to Manchester?
Failing that, does anyone have one they might be interested in lending? It would need to be 58 cm or equivalent.
