Hi All! So help for a returning cyclist if you can.

Im in the market for a road bike, have £1k bike2work and can top up a few hundred. I want it for commuting, weekend 40-50km rides and the occasional long sportive.

I have so far narrowed it down to:

- BMC Granfondo GF02 Carbon 105/Tiagra 2015 (http://www.evanscycles.com/products/bmc/granfondo-gf02-carbon-105-tiagra-2015-road-bike-ec072427)

- Cube GTC Pro (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/cube-agree-gtc-pro-road-bike-2014/rp-prod114087).

- Focus Cayo 7. http://www.sigmasport.co.uk/item/Focus/Cayo-70-Road-Bike-2015/52SB

I like the BMC is designed to handle off-road well too, so could take it places where I might not be comfortable taking the other two. However its only scouting Tiagra groupset which isn't great for the cost. The Cube looks great value but I have heard mixed reviews of it. The Focus seems like a good all-round for the cost.

What do you guys think? Any others I have missed?

All good bikes with good reviews, so probably not a lot to choose between them in terms of frames. As you say the BMC looks a tad pricy with Tiagra. The Cube Agree is looks good but with the old 105 groupset, but for that price you could afford to upgrade the wheels. The Focus Cayo has the newer 105 groupset.

As Vickster says, if you can go for a test ride and see which one you prefer.
