Andy - you also ought to take into account the width of your feet. Some brands (Shimano for example) tend to be pretty narrow. I have fairly wide feet and can't wear Shimano shoes my normal size, I have to go up one size.
My SIDIs were a pretty good fit in my normal size (10).
I have a pair of Duegi shoes...white leather mesh and hard plastic soles with shoe plates for quill type pedals....also have a set of Campag Record pedals....new BBs and regreased with MKS toe clips [large or extra large] and christophe black leather straps...£40 posted if you are interested.....
Thanks for the heads-up on the width thing. I've got pretty wide feet too, so will need to take that into account.
As regards the Duegi's I should have been a little more specific: I am actually looking for "clip-less" pedals. I've already got toe-clips on at present but am looking to switch. But thanks anyway
