Perfect weekend spent at Roc d'Azur www.rocazur.com/ 15,000 competitors and over 300 trade stands with all the big manufactures there. The event organisation was superb, roads narrowed to provide temporary cycle routes, police controlling traffic with the competitors always taking priority, emergency services (ambulances & helicopters) on site.
No wonder the French manage to produce so many mountain bike champions, they give the sport the priority it deserves.
To top it all my little girl Won her category (9-11 Yrs) from almost the back of a mass start 300 kids,following a puncture just before the start line, she borrowed a wheel and rode the race minus a front brake (V Brakes don't work too well with disk equipped wheels).
