Hi,
I’m using my brompton a lot for travel with a rather heavy and large T bag. The bag is also attached to the bike in folding mode, so I can roll on the EZ wheels attached to the rack. I have two problems though:
(1) the folded bike isn’t stable with the bag attached. The bag is not centered, and even if it was, the top weight would make the bike fall anyway with slight movement. I think this could be solved if one of the wheel pairs would have a larger axis, making the wheels stand further apart. Since I shouldn’t be touching the wheels while biking, that should be the wheels on the back of the rack. Ideally you could move them out.
(2) rolling the bike, even without bag on top, isn’t that easy in my opinion, because all four wheels have a fixed angle. For making turns, I have to lift the bike. In the end, I end up lifting the bike every few seconds to adjust my path. It seems it would be much easier if one of the two wheels pairs would be able to turn.
I’ve looked around but couldn’t find any ready made solutions. Any suggestions?
