Rollers......

I was thinking of getting a set last winter and there are some good out of season bargains coming up at the moment.

I already have a turbo and although it doesn't get used often it does get used. The turbo is tough and challenging but I never find it boring. 99.9% of my riding is outdoors anyway. Rollers look like fun

So does anyone who's used rollers find them worthwhile (even necessary)? I've read the literature about promoting good technique and form but is this just sales jargon?

If it makes any difference I was considering a set without resistance.

Any views?

I have a set, they are a luxury in my opinion, but if you can find a good deal I think they are worth having, especially in winter when you can't get out as much they keep stop you getting a lazy technique from being on the turbo all the time.
Don't need resistance as the turbo has resistance for those sessions.

In my "research" before posting I saw you were thinking of selling yours.

Are you now a "roller convert"?

They look like a challenge and something I've not tried before. With some of the deals on now I reckon they'll fetch 75% new value if sold later in the year.
