With @vernon off to Berlin I'm not too green with envy as I'm off to Rome on Friday.

I've got 4 full days so plenty of time to get about to see stuff.

What should I not miss while there?

You must visit the Pantheon. Awe and wonder is an insufficient term to describe how I felt when walked into the inner chamber. I was transfixed, struck mute and jaw firmly dropped on the floor I spent five or so minutes rooted to the spot taking it all in.

Oh and Rome is a compact city nearly everything is within walking distance. The Sistine Chapel is worth visiting if you can put up with the queue to get in. The corridors leading to the chapel are wonderful but uncomfortable to walk along with your head permanently tilted back to admire the painting on the ceilings.

I love Rome. Watch out for bad drivers and worse moped riders tho! Always fun sitting at outside café watching things crashing.

The Piazza and Basilica Santa Maria in Trastevere and the surrounding streets are lovely.
