Hello,
I'm looking to order this bike today as my winter rider. I cant figure out which size to go for. Im 6ft 1, 33in inseam. My road bike is a Giant TCR Advanced in a M/L. I cant get my head around the Rose sizing.

The available sizes are 52,54,56,58,60,62,64. Is that XXS, XS, S, M , L, XL, XXL ?

I think Im a 58 or 60. Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks

I would contact Rose directly for advice by phone or email, they are generally responsive it seems and would be best placed to advise on their bikes

They might need more measurements, like reach, shoulder width etc . Perhaps best to provide everything in centimetres not inches being German and all

Also do a side by side comparison of all of the measurements against your roadbike for an overview, should be able to find full geometry tables

This is one of the downsides of buying mail order from overseas

Hi TM. The difference in bike sizing isn't unique to Rose, many manufacturers measure their bikes in slightly different ways. I've been through this with Rose so know the way they work.

As you already know the Giant TCR sizing, simply look at the Geometry specifcation for that bike and compare directly with the geometry details on the Rose bike (which are on the bike details page). Reach and Stack are two figures often used to directly compare.

As Vickster said above, calling Rose (always best) or emailing (if in less of a rush) will get a comprehensive answer. You can also call Finlay (the UK rep) directlly on his mobile.

If the bike size you choose is incorrect you can change it.

Rose terms allow you to examine the bike 'as you would in a shop'.

That doesn't allow for a test ride, but you should be able to get a good idea of fit.

Returning it to get a different size will be a faff, but at least you can do it.

Contacting them is surely obvious? Being an online retailer would mean that they get this sort of question day in, day out, without a doubt.

I have a Rose pro SL, I am 6'2 same inseam. I have a 59. Bearing in mind a cx will have higher BB I would almost guarantee that you won't be a 60. Most likely a 58. There is a big thread on Bikeradar about this bike with plenty of owners of the bike on there.

I investigated online first, then emailed BianchiStore in Munich for advice on sizing, before buying my Sempre Pro last year.

Bike arrived and size is perfect for me. Spot on advice.

Asking the right questions and giving as many measurements as are suitable is definitely the way to go. I would certainly order online again.
