Roughly what might my bike be worth?

I had been toying with the idea of selling my bike and buying another recumbent trike  and a neighbour happened to interrupt and show an interest in it. I didn't know what to say I would want for it.

It is a Marin Hawkhill bought in 2000 and only done a couple hundred miles in that time.
It is pretty much exactly like this one. Mine is in a storage 'hole' and so I can't get a camera to it.

What do you reckon I should say?
Bear in mind I have just 'acquired free of charge ' for him two of these bike lockers and maybe a third to come.

Cheers.

Hmm. Are there any 'completed listings' on ebay? See how much they went for, but obviously age/condition, etc will be a big factor in the final price.

I looked on Ebay and there's nothing exactly the same, and similar bikes seem to be standing at anything between a fiver and a couple of hundred - but those are current auctions.

Might be worth asking the chap how much he'd be prepared to give you, and see if it seems reasonable. As it's unlikely to completely cover a new trike (or I suspect a decent 2nd hand one), it might come down to how much you want to haggle and how much you care about getting every last penny.

If it's not much used, then anything you get is a bonus, and after 11 years, you've pretty much amortised (I think that't the word) the cost of what you paid for it.

He's not said what he would pay, he just said he was looking for a mtb or hybrid type.

I paid around £400ish for it and had it data tagged. Even with no wear and tear I can't imagine it would be worth huge amounts but I wouldn't bother letting it go for much less then £150 as I would still use it and still get a trike.

The ebayer is trying it on I'm afraid. Your £150, with haggling room would be nearer the mark. It's equipped like a modern £300 hardtail, so £150 would be a good deal both ways.

That would be my gut feeling if I was buying it.
It is that borderline of being worth selling, the money wouldn't get me a 'better' bike.
I'll see what he says, he can always make me an offer on the old hack bike!
