We don't insure our bikes for the very reasons you state.

I am thinking the same RM...........Eileen is still looking but some of the small print deems all insurances void the minute you buy them

Well both our bikes live indoors and when we are out on them we never let them out of our sight if we stop, may be worth forgetting insurance

I came across one o' they Trek Madones in my lbc once...idly picked it up (as yer do) while they were footling round in the backroom looking for the spokes I needed. Damn thing weighed almost as much as a bag of Walkers Cheese 'n Onion.

Not any more Paulus, all the Ultegra has arrived and although I am ill so cant ride it, I have built it and spent the afternoon indexing the gears to perfection.

Nice bike what is it a Madone or something? Is it aluminum or carbon. Sorry I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to bikes
