Saddle....

Hi! I bought a mountain bike last year, unfortunately I have no choice but to leave it outside... When I used it the other day the inside of the saddle is totally soaking wet! I thought that saddles should be waterproof... (Unless they have a tear or hole in them!!) Would you say that the saddle is faulty or is it just not good quality!!
It still hasn't dried out yet and every time I use it I get a lovely wet patch on my derriere!!

Probably just not good quality, porous vinyl cover?

Maybe you could use a polythene bag and Velcro band as a rain hat for it.

You can buy full bike covers for a few quid from most bikey places, it'd save all sorts of corrosion and water ingress down cables etc problems.

Thank you, I have taken to putting a bag on it whilst it's outside now, but leaving it off when I leave it inside at work to try to dry it out!!
