Last night we told our 4 year old grandson that father Xmas was on his way and coming from the west. We took him outside and pointed to Venus that was shining alone, in the sky. His little face lit up and was worth the little white lie.

I used that one with my little nephew a couple of years ago. The reaction was priceless - he ran to our garden gate and started crying for his mum and dad to take him home just in case Santa arrived before he got to bed! Best way ever of getting rid of in laws!
