Saturday afternoon Bond film, but who's the best Bond?

Connery was the most fun to watch. I think some of the films look rather dated now, but it's easy-going tv for a dull afternoon.

Another for Connery, in a kind of nostalgic way, but I am seriously tempted to say Daniel Craig. He's a different kind of Bond, and one I prefer tbh, it's just that...

...nah, sod it, Daniel Craig.

Pierce Brosnan for personal lust reasons, but Connery otherwise, and he's probably the better Bond.

Roger Moore just edges it over Sean Connery, for me. I was a kid when the Moore films were on TV a lot and he's just so smarmy and less serious than the other brutal Bonds.

Contentious subject! Depends whether you're a fan of the original Bond (in the books) or not. Fleming's original choice IIRC was Richard Burton (though I'm sure I'll be corrected).

For me, the closest to the original Bond as written by Fleming and imagined by me, and therefore my fave is/was George Lazenby. Shame he didn't do any more. Connery a very close second. You can keep the rest.

IMHO the best actor never to play Bond and who'd have been just about perfect was Stanley Baker.

1) Connery
2) Craig
=3) Dalton
=3) Lazenby
5) Moore
6) Brosnan

Sir Sean is the obvious governor, but the two latest films are top class.

As for the last Brosnan film , one long procession of special effects and stunts with hardly any decent storyline.

It's got to be Roger Moore.
Some would argue he is a great exponent of the art of minimalism. Others just say he is crap.
