Cider based sleep, so could have been better. Walk hounds, then a gentle run and then load bike into the van, drop the van off at a campsite in the Shropshire hills and cycle home. Switch from fast road bike to gravel bike and then cycle back via a few pubs with the current wife

Impressive thread title length 'nic.
Maybe 20 words should be set as a minimum from now on.
A pre scheduled visit to the in laws sadly coincides with what promises to be the best weather day of the week.

I saw to have a lot of sore muscles this morning. Not sure whether it’s DOM’S or the after effects of yesterdays Shingles jab. The plan is to attempt some exercise then pick Mrs W up from the station.

Ok, I'll ask the Q: where is Cardift? To the E of Swanlea?

Sunny and blue skies here. Yay. Energy levels, personal not UV? Tbd. I do have to wander sometime rel soon to the pharmacy to collect yet more stuff. My prescriptions list is getting looong. 😳

Not long up, but had to get out of bed as meeting a mate to go for a ride round the lanes of Kentshire. May watch the F1 qualifying later.

Yeah, we were never quite sure of its location. Apparently Shaws the Drapers had a store there...

1st or 2nd Shingles jab? My 1st one was a real bugger. Very sore arm for days, and body felt like I'd been hit by a bus. Sore Quads too.
2nd one was a lot milder thank god.

Bit better night got some sleep, sheets well soaked though 😀. Swelling may have started to go down, but still look like a misshapen orc.
Just seen OH off for a cycle with mates. Not jealous at all.

First one, my arm was too sore to lay on that side last night. However I have managed to do some climbing despite my aching muscles, also went round watering all Mrs W’s plants and things with the watering can. I bet I’ve done it wrong. 🤣🤣🤣

Morning

This is all making me look forward to my Shingles jab...

Extra coffee.

hmmm, thought i'd check on shingles jabs, seems i'm way past the right age, but have been forgotten by the gp

i'd always assumed having chicken pox as a kid gave immunity, but it doesn't

suppose i should get it done, though this thread really isn't selling it to me, i suspect getting shingles would be worse

on the plus side, mrs s got me a surprise, a kilo of belgian orangettes, and i just made another coffee
