I have been demoted to the role of taxi for the clan today instead of getting the bike out , gutted as today was liable to be the last chance this month to get the metric century in for the challange so i have failed already

Coffee now, overnight oats, yoghurt and berries for breakfast. B&Q for grass seed then give the van a good wash (it's not particularly dirty but will blast the salt off from earlier this week).

Not raining at the moment, wander down to village hall to pop up cafe for a coffee then off on the train to Embra for beer and Mexican to celebrate cycling pal's 70th birthday.

Another good steak and wine fest last night, mostly covered by gift cards. Don't need much in the way of brekkie.

Shockingly it's not raining for now so we're taking our chances and going for a ride before the drizzle moves in this afternoon. Trip to the shops later for supplies, then a spot of sim racing.

Guess I got my answer to: is my local ParkRun competitive? today when 2 Dad's pushing buggies finished 5th and 6th (& the other 300 didn't finish in a bunch within 10 seconds after them.)

Think that's what passes for 'me-time' this weekend: Mrs Wakemalcolm is making some awfully poorly noises and the next generation will likely require taxiing and feeding.

At least it's not raining here and the coffee's good.

i am home minus part of a tooth.Emergency dentist same woman.We had a long discussion.X ray showed no problem with two teeth.I told her brushing and flossing was not working,i understood her reluctance to pull a healthy tooth.But i said explain the pain,she could not,i said paracetamol was not touching the pain codine put me in hospital Thursday night.So i said pull it.Well as she did it exploded in to bits,her fist /back of her hand and the tool hit me on the cheek,the tooth broke up in bits.The root and a little part is still in my gum.Someone else will be taking that out,and the tooth had a full length crack in it that the x ray did not spot.i am now painless hurrah.

I had very similar that the regular dentist missed but the emergency dentist spotted , i had to have the tooth out too but he did a better job !

kids begging for money via text as the went to a nail salon and they only take cash and bank transfer so i have had to do a payment and now the fun begins of getting the money back !
