Morning all. Nice clear blue sky Morning at a balmy 10 degrees. Parkrun cometh at 9, then a day of pottering about and hopefully time for a bimble on the bike.

Morning

Beautiful blue skies again.
Slept heavy. Must be the anti-biotics. Much coffee required to negate mild stupor.
Garden looks stunning despite some amount of scorching from those easterlies.

^ that's not putting green quality Mr P.

Sunny again indeed. Parkrun upcoming. Kidding, I can see them performing down in the lochside park. Para mi, it would be parklimp.

Instead another lazy start then more garden fettling. With a bonus of restocked freezer choc ices.

You can sod your putting green and swap it for bio-diversity and no weedkiller. Love thy moss (and daisies).

These days I really love seeing all the areas of unmown grass especially at this time of year that have been allowed to do their thing, flowers/weeds whatevs, buzzing with insects. Much more interesting than manicured monoculture green everywhere. Looking forward to seeing the French 'lawn' in ten days' time. Depending on how it looks, it might get a first going-over, or I might leave part of it as jungle a while longer.

I may or may not have been entirely facetious re the putting green. Comparison, here's how The Slope looks this week, post removal of running total of 19 bulk bags of thatch and accum mess.

The far end has the yellow rattle plugs in, and of course it has gone bone dry. That bit to go wild. The scratched section on the slope to become a shrubs and perennials section, will be much less effort trying to mow on such an angle.

Morning Peeps,

Good welcome home dinner with junior who has now finished exams forever and fingers crossed has passed so she can start her vets job which is lined up for September. Still got a few more weeks of practical stuff to go before she leaves Merseyside behind though.

Must be nearly summer with all this garden talk. We don't mow a fair bit of ours as it ends up looking like a bit of a meadow and also saves a fair bit of effort 🙂 Mrs. 666's latest brainwave is a wildlife pond and there's a handy dip up at the top end where it could go. Probably just end up as a paddling pool for the hounds.

Now onto some jobs...

Stick a net on it. Also good for keeping leaves out. Needs a constant through flow or else it will be acidic and stagnant.
