I need to get some more soul music on my PC, my mum plays it allot and talks about it allot so I've grown to like this music.

Aretha Franklin is one of my all-time favorite singers, she's in a class of her own.

Some other singers have great power and articulation, like Whitney Houston for instance, but where as she seems to just throw her voice all over the place Aretha is purposeful and exact with every note. Most of the time anyway. Aretha paints complex musical pictures, Whitney just warbles!
