Hello to everyone

I used to cycle to work many years ago (I'm fast approaching 50 years of age ! ! ) when work was only 4 miles away from home . . However that all stopped when my next job was located 26 miles from home ! !

Anyway, having recently lost quite a bit of weight, I've decided that the next step is to attempt to get fit again . . . . So I've dug out my "BSO" and cleaned and lubricated everything and am currently managing a couple of 12 mile rides during the week and then a longer 24 - 28 mile ride at the weekend..

I have to say I'm really enjoying it and hope to persuade my current employer to join the cycle to work scheme so that I can get myself a "real bike" . .

Hoping to learn lots of useful stuff on this excellent forum . . . . ** goes off to have a look around **

Hi everyone

Again thanks for the warm welcome..

Looking forward to learning from everyone else's experiences.

Hoping to build up to the stage where I can tackle a 100 miles in one day !!!! Seems like a pipe dream at the moment but hopefully in 12 months time I may be getting close !!!
