It was carnage. It's amazing to think of what was acceptable not very long ago. Makes you wonder what things will be like in the future.

I was thinking about the lack of aerodynamic aids and lack of grip in general that gave you close racing and cars going round corners sideways. That was racing.

The racing wasn't always that close and there was an even larger gap between manufacturer teams and privateers. It was a lot more fun to watch, though:biggrin:

The only fly in the ointment for me is that he will be driving for Mercedes

About time he gave something back to them seeing as how they got him his first F1 drive.

i think next year could be quite entertaining, button v hamilton at mclaren, massa v alonso at ferrari, all the new teams, a lot of driver moves, no refuelling and on top of that, schumi's return.

F1 will be interesting from the front to the back of the grid with so many different battlesstories to watch.

Schumi v Hamilton plus Buttion thrown in

I'm please he's back - 2010 is shaping up to be even better that 2009.

The prospect of seeing Hamilton and Schumi doing battle excites me.

Added to that you've got the 'Button v Hamiltion is the same car' factor.

I think that Hamilton is the better driver is terms of raw speed and overtakes but the lack of refuelling brings other aspects into play. Button is the smoother driver who is much less demanding of his equipment - if the McLaren has any reliability issues or chasis/engine weeknesses this could play into Button's hands (Hamilton being more likely to break his car).

Schumi's prospects will depend on the car that Ross is able to deliver. As always there are so many changes next season that it his hard to call.

The best bit is that we will see Hamilton duelling with Schumi - Roll on March!
