I have read a couple of articles In the Sun newspaper recently . About Dangerous Incidents .
Affecting Cyclist .
One of them . Was some Village Idiots threw a load of tacks on the road . Whilst a TT was In progress In Weaverham , Cheshire .
And caused a lot punctures to tyres and a lots of disruption .
Then there was another Incident were another D***head tied a wire across a road and caused a cyclist to come off their bike .
Has anybody else heard of these disscusting acts of downright stupidity ?
And what was the outcome .
Have the brain dead numbheads been caught and reprimanded .

Anything 'written' in that rag should be regarded as lies anyway so you shouldn't give it the tiniest smidgeon of credence.

The word "on the street" is that cyclists aint welcome in the common and a couple of cycle routes around here. You can tell this to be the case though as there is often glass bottles smashed on the surface you ride across...

Unfortunately I have met a number of cyclists who behave exactly as Matthew Parrish describes... they are insolent, self- righteous jerks. Fortunately they are in a minority and usually in a peleton out on their own.

Although unfortunately, they get the rest of us tarred with the same brush by some other road users. I must admit, I used to wear lycra leggings, but I got so much aggro off chavs (shouted insults, mock wolf-whistles, deliberate close-passes, etc) that I have reverted to baggy shorts or thin tracksuit bottoms tucked into sports socks. It doesn't slow me down and it doesn't seem to register on chav-radar either.
