Thanks, the temp broadband I had before was cr@p on that site but now I've got a landline its fab
The shortlist at the moment are the Leyzene Power Drive XL, Nightrider Lumina 500, BBB Strike 500; I quite like the Light motion Urban 550 however even though at first glance it seems the brightest, I don't think it offer the same bang for buck as the other three, I'll have to browse more

The Leyzene power drive XL for £80 is winning at the moment 400lumens but more spread, a replaceable battery and better life than others (probably because its less powerful). The BBB Strike is a close second (mainly because of the replaceable battery)but its out of stock on Ribble and everywhere else its £90.

Go for the Mega Drive Hlab, 1000 lumens of commuting power, you know you want to

Hi, I have a Lezyne Super Drive XL (Loaded Edition) for sale. I've had it 3 weeks and used it, 3 times? It's an awesome light, 500 lumens. Comes with extra battery and helmet mount. I bought it for £115 and I am willing to sell for £95. You will not regret it!
Cheers

Quite impressed with the Smart 35 lux for the price (it can be bought for £19, I paid £27 with a 1/2watt rear); not the brightest of lights but you wouldn't expect that at the price but its certainly better than a 'be seen' light and the run time is good too, in tandem with my Cateye EL 410 (on flashing) it made for a pleasant ride round country lanes tonight.
