Why free? I sell cars and I know the more people that see my advert the better chance of getting what I want for it.

Also buy not giving us more information you may have missed a potential buyer.

Put it on Autotrader and pay. Advertise it well and get lots of interest and get a good price.
Free adds are for timewasters - both sellers and buyers. He will get a poor response and have to take a daft offer.

As above. It's not nicknamed scumtree for nothing. And I think if the car is worth less than a grand you can advertise on Autotrader for free? might have been a special offer though but I remember them doing that a while back.

If it's worth more than that then the £20 or whatever fee is a small percentage of the cars worth, so worth spending IMO.
