What the norm when selling a bike, let them turn up at your house, meet public etc?
I have bike for sale on ebay and it will be paypal. Someone has asked if the can collect tomorrow if they are highest bidder.

Thanks

If they are collecting in person you are safer to get them to pay cash rather than paypal - with paypal they could pay, collect the bike and as there is no proof that they received the bike they could then claim the goods weren't sent and claim the money back leaving you out of pocket and without a bike.

Perhaps you could get them to log into their ebay account in your presence and give you positive feedback.

Let them collect as long as they pay in cash. Never let a person paying by PayPal collect the goods. They can deny receiving the goods and you'll have PayPal clawing the money back leaving you out of pocket.

I sold my Tricross via ebay & the guy came from other side of the country to collect & paid cash. Saved me the hassle of posting & paypal fees. If only all ebay buyers would do that

I'm the other kind of buyer...I turned up to collect something, got my wallet out to pay the guy, and he said: 'Didn't you pay me already, with Paypal?'

I've just sold mine and he's already paid via Paypal.

Wants to collect tomorrow, which is fine. I'm OK with Paypal as it's only a small amount - normally I'd request cash on collection.
