I had to rack my brains if I have any to how this bloke could get onto the platform...It did have me baffled and I have been serving this station for twenty years........They think it's funny at work but it's quite worrying.

There was a story someone sent me yesterday where a Korean man on a mobility scooter rammed a lift door with it, having just missed the lift. He rams it twice, and basically breaks open the door, and plunges down the lift shaft to his death... poor fool (i.e. foolish thing to do, but you can't help remembering it led to his demise).

So, I'm not going to put a link to it, but I'm sure you could google it if you so wished. (The 'ramming the door' and 'plunge' bits were captured on hotel security camera).

Oi!

I'm 63, hold full truck and bus licences, can still fly gliders, rock climb and am a good enough shot to reliably drop a deer at 200 yards. What's this "Old Git" stuff?

There are stupid and confused people of all ages, just as there are bright and in control people of all ages. (IMHO)

TBH - I think the driver of the car in my photo above was only about 40.

It's a bit worrying to think that there are people driving about who can't read a footpath sign, nor an 'unsuitable for motors' sign, and who think that a narrow cobbled path varying between 15% and 25+% gradient is a road!

Was he following a Sat Nav by any chance? They can lead you down ridiculous roads at times, some people blindly follow them without thinking for themselves

That could be one of you in a few years time perhaps?

Dementia is such a hell of a laugh isn't it....

Never said it was.Touchy.

It's also scary with some of the people who are driving out there.Still they are okay because they are in their protective metal shell while texting away.

Oh I didn't just mean this bloke...This applies too all ages...Too young/inexperienced or over experienced and mad...

That case at esher is one I haven't heard of before although I have heard of cars driving down the tracks which happens occasionally.

Hopefully I will be responsible enough to know when I should no longer drive...
