Serfas road shoes??

Hi all, I have had a pair of shimano RO88 shoes size 42 on back order at my LBS for about a month now. They keep telling me their supplier (Madison ?) are awaiting shipment. LBS have called me today and offered me a pair of SERFAS PODIUM shoes in white for the same price, I said I would call them back later today with an answer so I am posting on here as I cant find any proper reviews online, Does anyone know about this brand or their kit ??

My concern would be that they have no recess for cleats. Do you need to walk? That said nor do the shimano

Go to shop and try them on and see what you think

Or and I shouldn't say this, get the shimano online?

Have 42 in normal and wide. You'll want to go a size up I should think

I wouldn't wait a month for a pair of shoes if available online

Trouble is I have already paid for the shimano`s through my cyclescheme, I will pop down tomorrow and try on but I have never heard of this make and all I can find is the are American but no proper reviews.

Hmm. as said the shimano`s are paid for through my cyclescheme package along with my bike. I am not a brand snob in anyway but would like some idea on the durability and performance of these shoes if not any of their kit? this is my first adventure into road bikes and clipless and my first few months getting into cycling was a bit hit and miss with kit until I started reading reviews on here and other websites. Think I might just wait and give it a few more weeks, Was told that the supplier was`nt getting their stock til end of month. I have the stock pedals for now.

I would nt take there offer ... of the second brand
If they offered you shims on the first order they should honer it ..
They would probably have to buy a few pairs on one order and they do nt want to
for your one pair ! also new 2014 stock change of stock etc
